About this event

Step into your midlife power : Perimenopause and Menopause is a two-day, in-person experience designed to help you embrace the incredible transformation of midlife that is menopause. You'll experience expert-led sessions, practical tools and real-life conversations, you’ll walk away feeling informed, empowered and reconnected to your own body and wisdom.

If you wish you can join us on Friday only or Saturday only. We hope you'll book a weekend pass for Friday and Saturday to maximise your experience.

Who are Mid Life Thriving?

Our mission is to empower people to thrive in mid life. A collaboration of three coaches - Aaron Listhaus, Erica Gibbon and Sophie Carvin, with diverse career backgrounds and life experiences, Erica is also a BANT qualified Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine practitioner.

We're growing a supportive community of like-minded people who value learning and personal growth, through our regular on-line and in person programmes. We coach, share insight and practical tools focused on lifestyle and mental fitness, sessions last from 1 hour to 12 weeks.

Who will lead the sessions?

Erica Gibbon, Nutritional Therapist (BANT) and Functional Medicine Practitioner. Fascinated by the capacity of the body to heal itself and by the huge health improvements she sees with nutritional therapy she helps midlife men and women to thrive in their best years. Erica is also a co-founder of Mid Life Thriving.

Sophie Carvin, Coach. Constantly amazed by the generally under utilised capacity of our minds and brains, her focus is on mindset and confidence. Sophie works with senior female leaders to help them thrive at work and outside of work. Sophie is also co-founder of Mid Life Thriving.

And guest speaker Dr Clementina La Rosa, Consultant Endocrinologist and Paediatrician. Trained in adult endocrine and reproductive medicine she specialises in hormonal and reproductive disorders. A strong advocate for whole-person care, she combines medical knowledge with training in Nutritional and Public Health, Ketogenic Nutrition, Functional Medicine and Health Coaching.

What’s Included on Friday?

This evening we'll share the information you need to understand what's happening and what you might expect to experience during perimenopause and menopause. You'll also be able to ask those questions you've been unable to get answered.

  • Menopause with and without HRT - we'll help you navigate your options with clarity.
  • Mindfulness, breath and gentle movement experience to help you reconnect to your own energy.
  • Training your brain to make change stick, together we'll create space for the new habits you want to bring into your life.
  • A relaxed nutritional therapist designed buffet lunch, with like-minded attendees.

Where is Formby Hall, can I get there by public transport?

Places you may be familiar with in the same area are Liverpool, Southport, Warrington. You can get close to the hotel by public transport, but would need a taxi from Formby station.

I'm not familiar with Formby, where is it?

Formby Hall is about 6 miles from Southport and c15 miles from central Liverpool.

I've never been to a Mid Life Thriving event, will I be welcome? What can I expect?

Please can you tell me the different prices for the weekend.

A full weekend pass costs £199. If you chose just to join us on the Friday evening, 5 - 9.30pm, the cost to you is £109. If you are only able to be with us on the Saturday, 9am-4pm, the cost is £129. Refreshments included, healthful buffet on both Friday evening & Saturday lunchtime.
