Overview

Are difficult conversations holding you back from being the leader you aspire to be? Join us for this new style CPD.

We have listened to our community who want more online CPD workshops based on some key topics that aren't taught on 'traditional' leadership qualifications.

Whether you’re leading a team discussion, coaching a colleague, or supporting learners through feedback, this workshop will give you the confidence and toolkit to speak with purpose.

Why are we running this session?

We know that giving feedback and having challenging conversations can be challenging for any leader, whether you're a new or experienced leader. There are many books, mental models and ideas around navigating this but this can be overwhelming to navigate. This session will aim to decipher all of this.

Who is this session for?

  • Leaders in education looking to develop their knowledge, understadning and practical skills to navigating giving feedback and having difficult conversations.
  • Anyone seeking to improve how they navigate challenging interactions without damaging working relationships.

What will you explore as part of the session?

In this session, you’ll explore how to:

  • Understand the theory behind challenging conversations.
  • Prepare for and structure feedback that lands positively.
  • Turn conflict into collaborative outcomes.
  • Build confidence and presence when stakes are high.

How will the session be delivered?

Our CPD workshops are designed to be interactive. There will be some taught input, discussion and a coaching session

Through interactive discussion and real-world scenarios, you’ll walk away with tools you can apply instantly in your school or professional setting.

Who is hosting the session?

This workshop is delivered by the Step Up Network CIC — a grassroots community and social enterprise empowering developing leaders in education to step up, thrive, and lead with impact.

Our facilitators for the session include Ben Hobbis and others to be confirmed.
