About this event
This year our virtual events are split into two types: Community Calls, which are more intimate events. Safe spaces, for members of our community to be authentic and vulnerable whilst enabling connections to be built; and Webinars, which are open events, live streamed and recorded. These events are based around a particular theme and hosted in conjunction with a number of our partner organisations.
Our community calls this academic year are taking place:
- 2/10/25 at 19:00GMT
- 10/1/26 at 10:30GMT
- 19/3/26 at 19:00GMT
- 19/5/26 at 19:00BST
- 4/7/26 at 10:30BST
Connecting: Who are the speakers? What are they talking about and sharing? Which organisations are they representing that you are collaborating with?

Supporting and Impacting: How will we support each other and connect within a safe space? How will Step Up help facilitate the call?
There will be at least two Step Up volunteers helping to facilitate the call. They will ensure that the call aligns with our values and that everyone feels comfortable and safe to be vulnerable and authentic. As a result, these events are only open to those within our network and are not recorded or redistributed anywhere. We have a ‘contract’ that we all agree to as part of the call; the volunteer facilitating the call will share this with you at the beginning of the call.
