📅 Date: Tuesday, 14 October 2025

Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

📍 Location: The Metropole Hotel, Temple Street, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, LD1 5DY

About Step Up Step Down

Step Up Step Down provides tailored, early support to children and families at risk of breakdown.

This proven model has had remarkable success in Northern Ireland, where it has supported over 150 parents and 250 children, over seven years – with 95% of children remaining safely at home.

How It Works

Families are matched with highly trained and experienced family support foster carers who:

Step Up when families need extra help, e.g., providing a short break for a child or young person.

Step Down when the family is in a more stable place.

Through this approach, families are empowered to develop the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to stay together.
