Description

Francis House Children's Hospice need you to STEP UP and join our STEPTEMBER challenge. Can you complete 10,000 steps a day for the 30 days of September?

Starting on the 1st September, we want you to get involved and complete 300,000 steps in one month. Ask your friends and family to compete against you – who will complete the most steps and win the challenge?

By registering for STEPtember, you will also commit to raising a sponsorship target of £50 for Francis House Children's Hospice. Everyone who reaches over £50 will be entered into an exciting prize draw! All money raised will go towards the support Francis House provides to more than 500 families from across the North West of England.

Register now and help us to continue to provide quality care to the families of children, teenagers and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditons.

FAQs

How do I get involved?

Get walking!

  • Replace your car journeys with a sprightly walk.
  • Why not ask your friends and neighbours if they need any help walking their dog for a small donation towards your sponsorship?
  • Competing in the office. Why not arrange a walking meeting?
  • Or step up the pace and get involved in your local park run.

Recording your steps

  • Use your smartphone app. Iphone Health apps, Moves and Fitbit all provide a service to monitor your steps across the month.
  • Pedometer or other activity trackers. You don’t need to spend a fortune to count your steps, by shopping around you can find the best option for you.
  • Record your steps offline with our wallchart. If you are competing in your office, use a leader board to help compete against your colleagues for the top spot.

Send your final total to us at the end of the month - There will be a prize for the highest step count!
