Event description

Description

Steve will cover the key legal duties in relation to health, education and social care for children and young people aged 0-25. Issues covered will include social care assessments and rights to short breaks and other services, Education Health and Care needs assessments and plans and the rights of children with complex health needs. Steve will also cover broader issues of general relevance, such as discrimination law and duties around fair consultation.

This FREE training is very interactive and there will be lots of opportunities for people to ask general questions, although Steve cannot advise on individual cases during the training. You do not need any previous knowledge of SEND Law, but MUST BE the parent carer of a child/young person aged 0-25 years with SEND and live in the Wokingham Borough. Non members of REACH Wokingham will be asked for their details to confirm booking.

A buffet lunch will be provided. Please email Terri at reachwokingham@hotmail.co.uk if you have any dietary requirements.

Further details are available on our website: www.reachwokingham.com
