Join us for a flamboyant birthday celebration with our special guest Steve Edge, otherwise known as Lord Shoreditch. As a branding guru, he has worked with many high profile brands, including Cartier, Dior, Fortnum & Mason and Hamleys. Steve is also involved in branding the second largest housing development planned for East London as part of the regeneration programme that will follow the 2012 Summer Olympics.
On Thursday 26th April, Creative Networks will also be celebrating its 4th birthday and we have a real treat in store for you all. Steve says that "if you dress for a party every day, the party will come to you". Always wearing exquisite suits and often spotted in pink trousers, Steve is well known in Shoreditch for his unique style. Since he was a child, bags of glitter, magic markers and plastic scissors have been making him happy. Other favourite pastimes include fishing, whether in Outer Mongolia or a puddle in Clapham Common, and chopping wood to make fires.
Help us to create a real party atmosphere on this spectacular occasion. Put on your party clothes and bring a cake to match Steve’s unique style!

Creative Networks is Leeds College of Art's major professional events programme with talks from a diverse group of high profile speakers from across the creative industries to entertain, challenge and make us think.
For the 2016/17 academic year we are focusing our attention on our partners, collaborators and people contributing great things to the arts, creative industries and the city of Leeds, along with our alumni, students and staff to create a buzz at each event.
Our events are still free of charge, although we have introduced a refundable deposit so we can accurately calculate attendance.
Parking – due to the building works at the college, parking is not currently available on site. The nearest pay and display car park in Woodhouse Lane Car Park (LS2 3AX).
Transport - Leeds College of Art is approximately 15 minutes walk from Leeds Train Station. Several buses run past the Blenheim Walk campus, including the number 1, 6, and 97.
If you would like to arrive early for this event then please take some time to visit the Blenheim Walk Gallery Space. On the day of the event we will have an exhibition from alexandra p. spaulding.
