About this event

Health • Medical

This workshop is based on Still Ignored, a powerful report by SignHealth and RNID that highlights the persistent barriers Deaf people face when accessing NHS healthcare. Despite legal protections under the Equality Act and the Accessible Information Standard (AIS), Deaf patients continue to experience discrimination, lack of accessible communication, and poor service delivery. We will unpack the report’s findings, explore real-life consequences for Deaf individuals, and discuss what needs to change to create an NHS that truly meets everyone’s needs.
