Join us for a gentle Sunday afternoon art session at Thimblemill Library, where we’ll explore the timeless practice of still life drawing in a relaxed and supportive space.
This workshop is all about slowing down, getting into the flow, and enjoying the act of making. Through a series of short exercises and guided prompts, you’ll have the chance to sketch and paint from a variety of still life arrangements.
What to expect:
- A short demo to spark ideas and techniques
- A range of still life scenarios to choose from
- The chance to experiment with colour pencils, oil pastels, watercolour, or any tools you bring along
- Time to relax, explore your style, and enjoy the process!
Materials:
Basic supplies will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring along any materials they’d like to try out; whether that’s a notebook that’s been gathering dust, a favourite set of paints, or something new you’ve been curious about.
This session is open to all levels: whether you’re a seasoned sketcher wanting to flex your muscles or a beginner keen to try something new, you’ll find a welcoming space to create.
