The Way of The Horse: Stillness Through Connection

A one day workshop with horses to help you to reclaim a sense of stillness in your life and reconnect to your authentic wild self

Do you find yourself rushing about? Do you find it difficult to make time for yourself or for the things that are important to you? In our daily lives it is often difficult to find space and time to just pause. Horses are powerful teachers in the way of being still, as they are naturally in this deeper space most of the time. They can show us what it means to truly live in the moment, and not be weighed down by the past or filled with anxiety about the future. Join us and the herd for a day of embodiment, mindfulness and connection with the intention of allowing space for yourself to find a sense of stillness and enable a reconnection to your true self in it’s natural state.

Facilitated by

Dr Caroline Burrow (Northern Meadow Therapy) is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has also trained in the Eponaquest® approach of Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy and Learning. Caroline believes in the healing power of the natural world and integrates connection with animals and nature into her clinical practice as a psychologist.

Linda Van der Horst (Ottolina) is a trainer, instructor, equine body worker and founder of Ottolina. As a riding coach she has a passion for helping both the horse and rider through mutual understanding and healing.

Both facilitators, have combined, more than 40 years experience of helping humans and animals connect to themselves and each other in the capacity of learning, relationship building and mutual healing.

No previous experience of horses is required to attend. This one-day workshop is limited to 4 participants to enhance your experience and to facilitate a deeper connection. The fee includes lunch and refreshments.

Price: €150 early bird rate if booked before 20th May 2022, €180 if booked after 20th May 2022.

Payment & Cancellation Terms

On booking you will be sent health and safety information and asked to sign a disclaimer in order to participate in this event.

In the event of your cancellation:

• Cancellation before 20th May 2022 will receive a full refund of the payment made.

• Cancellation after 20th May 2022 requires full payment and no refund will be given for any payment made.

In the event of our cancellation you will receive a full refund of any payment made.

• Please note that the workshop occurs outside and in the event of severe weather all attempts will be made to rearrange the date of the workshop. If this is not possible a full refund will be given.

• We are unable to offer any compensation/refund for additional costs incurred such as travel or accommodation. We advise you to take our independent travel insurance to cover such costs.
