Sarah Deas, Trustee, Wellbeing Economy Alliance

Sarah is passionate about creating a progressive economy – one that delivers for people and planet. She is currently a trustee of the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (Scotland) and the Bank of Scotland Foundation.

She is also a Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde, a member of the Institute of Directors’ Sustainable Business advisory group and a member of the British Council’s Scotland Advisory Committee. She is a fellow of both the Royal Society of Arts and the Salzburg Global Seminars.

Previous non-executive roles include chair of Arts & Business Scotland. Her professional background is in strategy, marketing and business development, most recently as chief executive of Co-operative Development Scotland (Scottish Enterprise subsidiary) where she championed progressive business models. Her career spans the public and private sectors, including leadership roles in economic development, advertising and the packaging industry.

Professor Kevin Grant, Dean of Stirling Management School

Professor Kevin Grant is an experienced management professional with a Doctorate from the University of Edinburgh and terminal degrees from Lancaster and Napier.

He is also a Chartered IT Professional, and holds Fellowships of the British Computer Society, the Chartered Management Institute and the Higher Education Academy.

He joined higher education in 1992 and has worked in various roles at a range of UK institutions, including Napier, Glasgow Caledonian, Sussex and Kent universities.

Prior to joining the University of Stirling in 2019, he was Director of the School of Business at the University Of Dundee and Deputy Director of the Kent Business School, University of Kent.

His academic interests relate to technology and innovation and the triple helix (University, Industry and Government Interaction).
