Stirling SNP celebrates 20 years of the Scottish Parliament
Event Information
Description
The Scottish Parliament reconvened on the 12th May 1999, 20 years ago.
On it's 20th anniversary, to celebrate what the Parliament has done for the people of Scotland and to look to the future of Holyrood's role in Scottish public life, we are delighted to be joined by special guests at the Stirling Smith Museum:
- SNP Depute Leader, Keith Brown MSP
- Deputy First Minister, John Swinney MSP
- Deputy Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, Christine Grahame MSP
As well as a raffle, we will also have entertainment from Scottish folk/jazz musician Alastair McDonald as well as a rendition of A Man's a Man for 'a That (memorably sung by Sheena Wellington at the opening of the Scottish Parliament in 1999) by our own Alycia Hayes.
The celebration will also give us a chance to pay tribute to Bruce Crawford, for 20 years as an MSP representing the local area.
There will be complimentary nibbles and refreshments (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) provided and a prize raffle.
All proceeds will go to the Stirling SNP Election Fund.
