The event will take place in Tinsmiths' Fabric Showroom.
Stitch along with Jackie & Tamsin to create a small fox inspired by The Black Fox’s Tale from Wild Folk. Against a backdrop of the authors reading excerpts from the book.
The Black Fox story in Wild Folk is one of peaceful resistance and resilience, with an element of revenge. At the close of the story the black fox becomes a symbol of resistance and protection, stitched into clothing, stamped on to walls.
Since the book’s publication in June, people have begun sending stitched foxes to the authors to be added to a scarf. They will be hand stitched on, each different, each unique. Some are stitched onto vintage scraps of cloth. When the scarf is complete it will be auctioned to raise money for a women’s refuge/charity.
Some fabric and thread will be provided but please bring along a sewing kit of needles and embroidery scissors.
Places are limited. If, after booking, you are no longer able to attend, please let us know.
