Stitch don’t Ditch // Sew don’t Throw!
Event Information
Description
Join us on Saturday May 11th for a hands-on embroidery workshop with Caroline of @material.magpie and learn how to re-use, repair and recycle your old clothes using sewing techniques!
The aim of the workshop is to learn new skills by repairing, personalising & re-energising an old item of clothing using hand stitching. Breathe a new life into something that you no longer wear & learn the skills to extend the life of worn items. By the end of the session you will have designed and created your own embroidered patch that can be stitched on to clothes to refresh & upcycle them.
Workshop duration: 2 hours
Suitable for beginners - no previous sewing experience necessary
Feel free to bring along a piece of clothing you'd like to refresh
Get creative and have fun whilst saving the planet – become a storyteller & stitch something unique, fun and powerful!
