This family-friendly workshop at Ashbourne Town Hall, invites people of all ages to get involved in an exciting new town-wide project celebrating everything that makes Ashbourne special.

In this relaxed, facilitated session you’ll create your very own embroidered appliqué square to be included in our large community artwork. Materials are provided, and no sewing experience is needed — just bring your enthusiasm and ideas.

👩‍👧 Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us to stitch, share, and celebrate what you love about Ashbourne!

About the Project

Stitching Ashbourne is about community, creativity, and connection. Together, we will create a large-scale embroidered textile work that celebrates the built and cultural heritage of Ashbourne.

Surrounding a centerpiece depicting some of Ashbourne's most iconic buildings will be over 100 hand-stitched squares, each one telling a unique story, memory, or celebration of what Ashbourne means to its people. Whether you’re 6 or 95, this is your chance to stitch your story into Ashbourne’s history.

Come along, bring a friend, and be part of something truly special. Together, we’ll stitch Ashbourne’s story.

This and all Stitching Ashbourne workshops are free to attend. Donations towards the project are very welcome via our crowdfunding page. https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/stitching-ashbourne
