Details of session:
In this session we will be stitching in the Bargello style.
You will need needles, thread, scissors and suitable material for the project.
For Sashiko you will need cotton type fabric, sharp needle and thread – embroidery floss will work for all the styles
For Kogin, counted thread work (from around the world), Bargello and Blackwork you will need 14 ct Aida.
We will supply a pattern in a format which suits the style and is usually going to be a pdf document. You will need to transfer the pattern to cloth and there are many ways of doing this.
You will need to download the pattern from the link on the online attendee page – accessible by signing in to your Eventbrite Account on a website - not on your phone app.

Format of the stitching sessions:
As we only have a short time to do the stitching we ask that attendees have prepared their fabric and are ready to start stitching just after the session starts. Occasionally we do a large design piece and this will need to be stitched over 2 or more sessions and may need extra time beyond this.
These weekly sessions are not designed for teaching in great detail, we will help, guide and demonstrate the stitching method being used, but you should be able to read a pattern and to do basic stitching. Most of the patterns only require running stitch.

How it works:
We will detail any preparation work you need to do, a reminder e mail is sent 2 days before the session a second reminder is sent 2 hours before and the link is sent 10 minutes before.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you can receive messages from Eventbrite, we have guides to using the app if you need them.
