About this event

Come, ride to the start of the Stockton and Darlington Railway where history came alive at Witton Park and the first coal wagons were brought to join Locomotion No 1 on 27th September 1825. This ride begins and ends in Bishop Auckland and involves mainly tarmacced roads and some off road section. It has some hills but we will go at the pace of the slowest person, no one gets drops.

You need to bring a well maintained bike (including e-bikes), helmet, cold and wet weather gear and any snacks you might need.

This is 1 of 3 rides I am organising and if you are keen you could join me in the afternoon for a Darlington to Fighting Cocks (Middleton St.George) ride
