The Final Straw Foundation will provide gloves, litter pickers, bags and buckets, but if you have any of your own that you would like to use please bring them.

Please consider making a donation to our charity (you can do so here): https://www.justgiving.com/finalstrawfdnDonations help us to continue to keep our beach cleaning kit up together, enable us to continue our work with schools and communities and keep the charity going - thank you so much!

Our community beach cleans are open to individuals and small groups. If you're a business or corporate group looking to join, for your volunteering hours or team-building, we’ll need to arrange a bespoke private clean for you. These private cleans support our charity through a donation, ensuring we can continue our important work. Get in touch via hello@finalstrawfoundation.org to book your tailored experience.

By signing up for the beach clean you confirm that you have read and agree to respect the following beach clean rules.

BEACH CLEAN RULES

- There will be a safety briefing at the start of the event, please listen carefully and adhere to the guidelines.

- Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and watch your footing. No flip-flops or sandals, please - sometimes stones can be sharp or there may be unseen broken glass on the beach.

- Only go where instructed to go on the day.

- Under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult who stays with them for the duration of the event, FSF accepts no responsibility for any minors attending the event.

- Do not enter the water. If you have a minor with you, please make sure they do not enter the water.

- Dress for the weather. If it's hot, wear sun cream, if it's raining bring a rain jacket and so on - layers are great.

- Please bring your own drink in a reusable container - no single-use plastic please!

- Do not pick up anything sharp (broken glass, needles etc). Inform a host and we will remove it. We will have a sharps bin with us.

- Participation is at the individual's own risk, but please report any incidents to the hosts.

- Do not put your hands anywhere near your face, especially eyes or mouth during the clean. You never know what you may have touched and your gloves will probably be dirty.

- Bring hand sanitiser for after the clean-up and wash your hands thoroughly as soon as possible after the event.

- Return all equipment and litter to the collection/drop-off spot.

- Well-behaved dogs on leads are more than welcome, but please keep them with you, under control and be aware of others with your dogs even if they are friendly - both adults and children can be nervous of dogs. Make sure you clean up after your dog.
