July line up:
MC: Dan Fardell
One of the best new joke writers I've seen in ages. He has so many lines that make me think 'I wish I'd thought of that' - Romesh Ranganathan. Writing with the efficiency of the slickest American comic - Steve Bennett, Chortle. An entire set of beautifully crafted individual gems - Adam Bloom.
Headliner: Aurie Styla
Having started stand-up comedy back in 2010, Aurie has tirelessly honed his craft and his likeable charisma has earned him fans in the thousands. His TV credits include Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV), Don’t Hate The Playaz (ITV) and Mo Gilligan’s Black British & Funny documentary (C4). He has also worked extensively with comedy streaming platform NextUp. Aurie has worked with many notable comedians from around the world, both as a fellow performer and also as a promoter for his phenomenally popular ‘ComedyMania’ events. His consistency and warm persona sees him regularly employed as a warm up comedian for the major broadcasters and on shows such as The Big Narstie show and The Mo Gilligan Show.
Elaine was recently a finalist at Brighton New Comedian Award 2021 and a semi-finalist for So You Think You're Funny 2021. When she’s not doing comedy, Elaine is the voice of bingo commercials which if that doesn’t entice you, I don’t know what will. "Appealingly natural. Original yet relatable material" (Chortle); "Delightfully low energy, holds the audience well" (The Reviews Hub); "Absolutely fantastic. A star in the making" (Brighton Grin).
Joe Foster is a stand up comedian from Brighton who has been on the UK circuit 7 years. His dry wit and likable persona established him as a firm favorite with audience and promoters alike. In 2015 Joe won the Fosters South Coast Comedian Of The Year Competition which cemented his reputation as one of the fresh new voices on UK comedy circuit. (Winner of Foster's South Coast Comedian of the Year 2015). **** (ThreeWeeks). "He tells them well, with an off-hand wit" (Chortle). "Tightly written and very funny material" (Latest 7). "Reassuringly Confident" The List.
Paloma is Canadian, musical and hilarious. Her favourite thing is reflecting on life in the UK through songs!
