Description
Between August and October stone-curlews flock together in large numbers at traditional roost sites. This is a chance to see up to 50 individuals in the same place, and a good opportunity to carry out monitoring before the birds depart for sunnier climes in southern Europe and northern Africa. We'll be joining RSPB adviser Rob Blackler on a visit to an roost on the Plain (venue to be confirmed, depending on where the birds are this year) to get an update on the Wessex Stone-Curlew Project, how the 2018 season has gone and, with luck, get a good look at these most distinctive of birds.
