About this event

Silver Clay is one of the most versatile inventions in the jewellery industry in recent decades. Perfect for beginners and intermediates, this full day class introduces you to the magic of silver clay and how to add stones to your piece. You will be guided through the process by a fully qualified and experienced metal clay tutor where you will be taught professional level techniques in this fully comprehensive class.

In this session you will make two pieces of jewellery, each set with a stunning stone! Make either rings, pendants, or both and learn two different stone setting techniques in silver clay as well as how to combine traditional fine jewellery techniques and silver clay.

You will learn how to:

  • Roll to a consistent thickness
  • Texture and cut the clay
  • Refine the dry pieces
  • Add stones to your piece
  • Fire the pieces
  • Combine traditional jewellery techniques with silver clay
  • Polish and finish the jewellery

All material costs are included in the class price. Refreshments are also provided.

We schedule one hour for lunch but food is not provided, so please bring your lunch, or you can eat at one of the lunch spots less than a 2 minute walk from the school.
