Description

*** PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT IS FOR YOUNG CHRISTIANS BETWEEN THE AGE OF 18 - 25 IN LONDON. ATTENDANCE TO THIS EVENT IS ONLY CONFIRMED IF YOU R.S.V.P HERE AND SEND 'AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST' EMAIL; PLEASE SEE 'FAQs' BELOW:

"God opposes the proud but He gives Grace to the humble" (James 4:6)

To be humble does not mean to live a low key life, doing 'your own thing' working hard and minding your own business. It does not mean to be savvy, stoosh and full of self-value. To be humble means to mourn over your own fallenness and the fallenness of the world around you. To be humble means to be 'profoundly dependant' on Jesus Christ. Humility put bluntly is: to be in a lifelong state where you are (like the Tax Collector in Luke 18:13) 'poor in spirit' beating your chest saying "God; have mercy upon me a sinner!" Humilty is to be given a revelation of how your sin is as deep as the grave - but how God's Grace and Love is deeper still. Humility is to bow your knee to the perfect work and the perfect person of Jesus Christ. And that is why it is absolutely essential that every true bible believing believer is to understand that possessing the 'Beatitude Attitudes' is a key component in living the Christian life for rest of their life here on earth - We will be studying the Beatitudes (Matthew 5) in this first study.

AIM OF STOOSH NOT:

StooshNot is a bible study platform for young people primarily between the ages of 16 - 22 in London. It has been organised by a Christian couple who are under the stewardship of elders at a local Reformed Evangelical Church in East London. The word of God alone is sufficient. And it is the word that we must dedicate our lives to. In the same way that some men came together in Luke 5 to lower the paralysed man to the feet of Jesus Christ - so to do the founders behind this platform desire to be used by God to draw the souls of young Londoners to the feet of the Almighty, Eternal and Loving Christ within this perishing and wicked world.

The general outline is as follows:

- Week One: Intro, Objectives, What is a Christian? (Study) Blessed are the poor in spirit

- Week Two: (Study) Blessed are those who mourn

- Week Three: (Study) Blessed are the meek

- Week Four: (Study) Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness

- Week Five: (Study) Blessed are the merciful

- Week Six: (Study) Blessed are the pure in heart

- Week Seven: (Study) Blessed are the peacemakers

- Week Eight: (Study) Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake

- Week Nine: (Study) Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account

- Week Ten: (Study) Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven
