About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Join poet, producer and grant writer Connor Sansby as he breaks down grantwriting in a surprisingly accessible fashion. Having raised over £1 million through Arts Council England grants, Connor now trains other grantwriters as they begin their fundraising journey. This presentation is intended as a Grant Writing 101 crash course, helping explain what grantwriters are looking for, how different funds have different goals and how you can clear up those little quirks that are holding you back from applying for the public funds you deserve.

Frequently asked questions

What is the accessibility like for this venue.

Access to the church is ramped at both sides. From chapel street itself, follow the building round to the left where there is a ramped entrance. From the St Marys Street side (through the car park) there is level access to the church premises, and the door has ramped access.

What about toilets?

EMC has toilet facilities. There IS a disabled toilet on the premises but I cannot vouch for powerchair access to this. Ambulatory and transferring users would probably be ok. There is also a baby change.

What about accessibility in the workshop itself?

The workshop is designed as a short, rapid fire talk. It will be accompanied by projected slides. If you have a specific need for accessibility for this part of the event, please PLEASE email us fenspeak@gmail.com and we will absolutely see what we can do to help.

What is parking like in Ely?

Parking is free in Ely City Centre - though there are restrictions in various places. The car park behind the church has a two hour limit but others have much longer times. Please see https://eastcambs.gov.uk/parking-open-spaces-and-toilets/car-parks for more information and locations.

How do I pay?

Because Eventbrite takes a cut - tickets here are free and you can pay on the door. More information in your confirmation email. If you find you cannot attend, please return your ticket for reallocation, thank you.
