About this Event

Note: this event comprises two one-hour webinars on March 3 and March 10. See full details below

Join the Stopping As Success (SAS) team as they discuss their three-year collaborative learning project on responsible INGO transitions. In the wake of the movement for locally led development, SAS provides critical lessons for what organizations (INGOs, NGOs/CSOs, and donors) can do when planning for or actively going through a transition.

SAS defines transition as a transfer of ownership and responsibility from an INGO (most often when they leave a given country or end a development program) to a local entity while maintaining ongoing collaboration and partnership.

This two-part webinar series hosted by INTRAC provides an overview of the SAS project and lessons learned, and then gives practitioners the opportunity to engage with the 20+ tools and resources that the SAS team has produced over the past three years.

  • Tuesday, March 3 (9am to 10am EST / 2pm to 3pm GMT): Presentation of the SAS project, lessons learned, and overview of the tools/resources. A conversation with participants about the project and their experience with transitions more broadly.
  • Tuesday, March 10 (9am to 10am EST / 2pm to 3pm GMT): Workshop-style that allows participants to engage with a tool/theme they are most interested in and consider how to apply it to their own work and organizations.

We strongly encourage you to register for both webinars since they will build on each other. We will be emailing you in advance with some (optional) reading that will allow us to make the most of the 2 hours we’ll have together.

Registration closes Thursday, February 27th at 5pm EST. / 10pm GMT. The webinar will be run on Zoom - details will be provided after registration.
