Live performance of sparkling new stories in ravishing countryside near Bath

About this event

We're going back to the Farm!

What could be more summertime than sitting out under the stars sipping a glass of bubbly and listening to some stories?

After last year's gorgeous story evening at the farm, Word In Your Ear is delighted to present a brand new evening of stories on the theme of ROOTS in a beautiful secret setting a few miles north of Bath.

So pack a picnic, put those beers in a cooler, sling a camping chair over your shoulder and join us for an evening of sparkling wit and joyous storytelling. And you can bring your friends along too!

We are so lucky to have been invited back to a local farm in one of the Cotswolds' most glorious valleys. This farm is not open to the public, so it is a perfect opportunity to experience the peace and tranquillity of this gorgeous rural setting.

Last year's tempremental weather meant we told stories on a Landrover stage in a large open stable - with the horses whinnying their appreciation! It was a unique setting and our audience loved it. We hope to be outside this year, but the stable awaits should the rainclouds gather!

Stories start at 7.00pm. The site will be open for picnics and general chatter from 6.00pm.

Practical information:

Tickets: All tickets must be purchased in advance. There will be NO tickets available to purchase at the site.

How to get there: You will receive the address and directions to the farm a week prior to the event, once you've booked a ticket. Please note that the farm is not accessible by public transport. There will be parking available. A taxi from the centre of Bath costs approximately £17.

Loos: Toilet facilities will be provided.

Food and drink: There will be no food or drink for sale at the site - but you are very welcome to bring your own! Please do not bring disposable barbecues.

Accessibility: we have done our best to choose a site that is accessible, but the storytelling will take place in a field so you will need to be able to walk across rough ground. Please wear suitable shoes and bring warm clothing as the nights can get chilly.

Children: you are welcome to bring children. Parents should note that the stories are not specifically aimed at children.

Weather: Stories at the Farm is an outdoors event held in the UK so there is always a danger of rain! If the weather is bad, the event will go ahead. We will hold the storytelling in a lovely open stable at the farm.

Cancellation: If you cancel your ticket less than 14 days in advance, we are unable to provide a refund.
