Event description

Description

Whatever change it is that you’re making, make it better with stories.

Learn the top tips from fiction and how to practically apply them to your work. Hone your storytelling, listening, empathy, community building and problem solving skills. Explore creative writing, popular culture and contemporary issues to discover how stories can help you make a change. This is the second of three* workshops.

Suitable for: social entrepreneurs, campaigners, leaders, public speakers, coaches, people in business, innovators, strategists, researchers, designers, writers, managers and change-makers.

In the second workshop of the series you will:

  • Explore the Hero's Quest, a mythic story structure.
  • Move beyond stories of individuals to stories of Heroic Communities.
  • Write a short, fictional story about overcoming adversity.
  • Apply these skills to communicating about yourself and your work.
  • Develop the skills of listening and community building.
