Event description

Description

Stories of horror, death and the undead ... with prizes.

As summer ends and winter approaches the festival of Hallowe'en is a perfect time to explore the dark folklore of countries around the world. Jason brings together new and traditional stories from international folklore. And, just in case the darkness of Hallowe'en stories may frighten you, there will also be a certain amount of silliness involved ... with prizes :)

Fancy dress is encouraged and, whilst not compulsory, those who've dressed up will have earned themselves a cake when taking their seats. Nom-nom-nom brains ... I mean cake!

- The Singing Bone: A retelling of the Grimm-collected tale of bravery, treachery and a ruddy great man-eating monster
- Swipe Right: Short, but very dark tale set in contemporary London where a being older than mankind watches and waits and then chooses
- Vasilisa the Beautiful and Baba Yaga: Traditional Russian story of an unfortunate daughter, a wicked stepmother, and the infamous cannibal witch who lives in a hut on chicken's legs
- The Misadventure of Private Toole: A less than serious story of vainglorious foolishness, a dark and stormy night and a haunted castle ... with 'things'

Early bird tickets available now (25% of all tickets already sold).
