Stories of Us Photo Exhibition Launch Event
Overview
Join us for the launch of Stories of Us, a photo exhibition celebrating the journeys, identities, and contributions of 12 migrants who now call Newcastle home. Through intimate portraits and personal narratives, the exhibition highlights how individuals from different continents have become part of the city’s vibrant cultural fabric. Their stories reveal resilience, creativity, and the profound ways they enrich Newcastle’s social, economic, and cultural tapestry. This special event invites you to explore diverse perspectives, connect with global experiences, and appreciate the shared humanity that strengthens our community. Be part of an evening of art, conversation, and connection as we discover the many ways newcomers shape the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne. We welcome residents, visitors, and supporters of community storytelling to experience these moving portraits firsthand beginning on the 18th of December, which is International Migrants Day.
Stories of Us is a project by Adebayo Okeowo - a human rights lawyer and visual story teller
