LET'S STORK ABOUT IT

Storks are powerful symbols of rewilding, once common across the UK but now a rarity in our landscapes. But storks are making a comeback! As part of our long-term vision, cherished open grasslands and wetlands across London could once again become home to the species.

Citizen Zoo is one of London's leading rewilding CICs. With this walk, they'll discuss exciting future plans for storks in the capital and how to get involved in high-impact rewilding.

Event open to all ages (under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the walk). BOOK ONE TICKET PER PERSON.

Meet in the Eastbrookend Discovery Centre classroom, next to the Tea Room (free parking, accessible toilets available).

THIS IS A FREE EVENT! Please be considerate with your booking. If you cannot attend, cancel promptly so that another nature enthusiast can attend. Thank you.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed toe footwear, boots, running shoes.

This activity is WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE, please email ahead if you would like to borrow an offroad wheelchair.

The Ranger Service looks after several parks across Barking & Dagenham and works with local communities to encourage more people to use parks in the borough. We host a series of events for all ages throughout the year and work with schools to teach children all about wildlife and why it's so important.
