Make Share Heal is a 12-month wellbeing programme offering a series of creative and therapeutic workshops for women aged 18 to 49 in Pype Hayes, Birmingham. The project aims to support women in improving their mental health, reducing feelings of isolation, and building confidence, cultural expression, and a sense of belonging.
While the programme places particular focus on Ukrainian, Polish, and Central and Eastern European (CEE) migrant women, it is open to all women in the local area who may be facing challenges such as poverty, trauma, or poor mental health.
About This Workshop: Story Circles
The Story Circles workshop invites women to explore their voices and experiences through guided storytelling and reflective conversation. In a safe and supportive environment, participants will have the opportunity to share their personal stories, find strength in their lived experiences, and connect with others who truly understand their journey.
The session will be trauma-informed and culturally sensitive, with experienced facilitators ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported. Alongside the group activities, there will be opportunities for one-to-one conversations, offering personalised guidance and signposting to local services such as housing, benefits, education, domestic abuse support, mental health care, and employment advice. Printed resources will also be available in multiple languages to ensure accessibility for all participants.
No previous experience is needed and all materials will be provided. You simply need to bring yourself and a willingness to take part.
Taking part in this workshop can help build confidence and resilience, while offering a chance to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. It provides an opportunity to access practical support and resources, develop friendships, and create lasting connections with other women in the community. It is also a chance to pause, reflect, and take time for creativity, expression, and healing in a supportive space.
The workshop is free to attend, and refreshments will be provided. Places are limited to 20 women, so booking is essential to secure your spot.

Make Share Heal is more than a series of workshops. It is a welcoming space where women can come together to share experiences, support one another, and grow in an atmosphere of trust and encouragement.
This project is funded by ENNS and Birmingham City Council.
