About this event

  • 2 hours

For the third year in a row we are celebrating the birthday of Elmer the Patchwork Elephant! We have had so much fun in the last couple of years we want you to come and join us for an afternoon of colourful craft and play. Wear your brightest clothes and get ready to celebrate with the world's most colourful character.

Together, we'll be reading and celebrating the children's picture book 'Elmer' by David McKee. We'll then get creative making some Elmer themed crafts for you to take away with you, and also work on a group project together. We'll have some light snacks for you to tuck into, and there might even be a game or two if we've got time. Come and join the fun!

Information for grownups:

  • Please select one ticket per child (accompanying grownups don't need a ticket)
  • Please stay with your wee one/s for the duration of the event.
  • Due to limits with space, we have set a maximum limit for available tickets to 15 children (who will also have their grownup with them). This also lets us prepare our craft supplies accordingly.
  • We hope you understand why we are quite firm with our age range for this event (ages 3 to 6). We regularly have other events for ages 7 to 11, and it's only fair that the younger children have their own events too. Also, the crafts planned aren't suitable for any children younger than 3. Ages 3 to 6 is just perfect for these story, craft & play events.

If you have any questions, or if there is anything we can do to help your visit, please get in touch with Drew (Community Engagement Coordinator) by email on events@duncanplace.org
