This workshop explores editing and minimalism in finding the exact right amount of information to tell a visual story. We will have exercises in editing and changing narratives to get to the core we are trying to tell. There will be exercises from cartooning as well as traditional art. By the end of the session we should have created a single image that tells a whole story.
Required materials are:
Lots of paper. An A4 or A3 bigger sketchbook would be best but A5 would work too.
Pencils and rubber. If not your preferred drawing medium is fine but something that can be rubbed out would be best.
Please email lucindapurkis@gmail.com in advance if there are any access requirements.
The project space can also be chilly, so bring warm layers.
