About this event
*A two-part workshop programme on 1st and 15th October, exclusively for businesses based in the Shropshire Council local authority area*
The most powerful form of communication is not speaking or writing; not pitching or advertising; and not vlogging or podcasting.
Instead, the most powerful communication skill is storytelling.
The unique events of your life have the power to inspire, to entertain and to change how people see you and the world around them. It is in the stories you tell, that people will see the values you hold, the qualities you aspire to and the dreams you are pursuing.
With the right story, a customer will buy from you, a colleague will support you, a potential employer will hire you and an investor will invest in you.
In this two-part workshop, you will join a group of twelve people to be coached in this life-changing skill, by two of the region’s most celebrated storytellers and public speakers.
You will learn how to craft any moment of your life into a compelling and powerful story for use when writing, vlogging, selling, pitching, networking or presenting.
You will master how to structure any story you want to tell into an engaging narrative and practice the techniques to deliver stories so that people want to listen.
- Can you remember when someone told a story which changed your life?
- Have you heard someone so engaging you didn’t notice the time passing?
- No-one is born speaking, we all have to learn.
In the first session, you will discover the structure of a compelling story and the tips and techniques you can use to bring a story to life.
In the second session, the group will give you the confidence and support to tell your story and, with individual feedback, to take your storytelling abilities to the next level.
Join us, in October, for this fun, interactive and inspiring event and unlock your storytelling superpower.
