Event description

Description

For many communications professionals, working with numbers and statistics can be a daunting prospect. Numbers entail a definiteness and inevitability not common in much of our other work. Percentage changes, turnover and profit, ratios and averages are terms that strike fear in the hearts of many PR professionals.

However, when used effectively and ethically, numbers can be an incredibly powerful tool to tell great stories. They provide tangibility, credibility and authority to your message and legitimacy to your client.

In this session, participants will hear from PR professionals who use numbers to tell stories everyday and explore techniques and tips to incorporate them effectively and ethically in their work.

Our speakers include:

  • Caroline Rham - Communications Manager, Scottish Fiscal Commission

  • Simon Ebbett and Bruce Stoddart - Communications Manager and Senior Graphic Designer, Audit Scotland

  • Aimee Stanton - Data and Investigations Reporter, JPIMedia

Tickets are limited and non-refundable, and refreshments will be provided. Five CPD points are available for attending members participating in the CIPR CPD scheme.
