Storytime is a friendly and relaxed session for children aged 3yrs+ and it's run by experienced playworker and arts facilitator, Jenny Lockyer.

It is usually held at The Oval Tavern, an award winning and family friendly pub in East Croydon, south London. Due to the closure of public venues for the time being, Storytime is online.

It is the 90th anniversary of Amy's epic solo flight to Australia on 5th May and this bank holiday weekend you are invited to celebrate with Storytime on a trip across half the globe... over seas, mountains, deserts, plains and arched rainbows... pack your bag, steel your courage and board your plane with Amy for the adventure of a lifetime!

Order your Jason the Gipsy Moth kit from the website below and make in advance (kits are £3) or join in with simpler activites that you'lll receive upon booking for the session.

Suggested donation for this session is £5.

Make a donation through the ticket link by booking to attend the online session. Once you've booked you can access the activity sheet and URLS for the12 o'clock making session and the1pm Storytelling session. Both are approx 40mins long and hosted on Zoom.

'Make Your Own Jason the Gipsy Moth'.

Create your very own model of Jason, the wonderful plane that carried Amy all the way to Australia.

The kit can be ordered from Jenny as a pdf. Kits are £3 for every plane likely to be made off the back of your order plus a 50p admin charge if paying by PayPal.

All you need to do then is print it out and follow the instructions in the tutorial.

Kits are suitable for children aged 8yrs and up or for younger children with help from an adult. Some adult supervision required.

It's a great project for children to work on with parents and carers for fun and especially as a home learning activity.
