Join family lawyer Ashley Le-Core to welcome back Chloe Oudiz, certified divorce coach, to discuss how to manage the early stages of divorce

January is often a time when people enquire about divorce. The start of a new year means resolutions for many, and time of change.

Starting out on a divorce journey looks different for everyone. You might have made the decision yourself, made it jointly with your partner, or perhaps you’ve been taken aback by your spouse’s request for a divorce.

Whatever your circumstances, divorce is never easy and can be incredibly stressful. However, there are things you can do to set yourself up for a more amicable and smooth process.

In this Stowe talks, Stowe favourite Chloe Oudiz, Certified Divorce Coach, returns to discuss how to approach those early parts of divorce, including managing the range of emotions you might be feeling.

In the session, Chloe will cover:

- Emotional preparation: how to ensure you and your spouse are both ready to begin divorce negotiations and have constructive conversations about your future

- Logistical preparation: which documents to collect, how to select your professional support team and understanding NCDR options

- Mindset preparation: entering with the right expectations with regards to potential outcomes and the process itself, defining success in your own terms

- Getting organised: the value of documenting a personal divorce plan and sticking to it
