Event description

Description

Stranger Bonds is a participatory one on one encounter, stemming from the research of Jennie Campbell, a practitioner sharply focused on how we connect to one another. What does it mean to get to know someone? Does a bond between two people have to exist over a period of time? Can fleeting bonds create a sense of loyalty and connection that can best be defined as allegiant? This is an experimental practice of sharing, searching, trying, and maybe failing. In a space of openness, playfulness, and reciprocity, the invitation of this practice is to come, share a little bit of who you are, and get to know someone else in extra-ordinary ways. Each session will provide you with options of different bond cultivating activities, letting control mingle between practitioner and participant, and making each encounter unique. Come play!

Jennie Campbell is a London and New York City based, Canadian-American theatre artist. Having trained in acting at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Jennie draws inspiration for Stranger Bonds from her own experiences in the rehearsal room, having worked and appeared in traditional theatre, new work and devised pieces. Jennie also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Film Studies from Carleton University in Canada.
