Over the last few months, EVOC has been engaged to support Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership to begin development of a revised Strategic Commissioning Plan for Older People’s Services.

The work has an ambitious timeline, with outline plans to be developed by the end of the year to allow work to begin on more detailed, costed plans with annualised operational delivery plans being developed in the new year.

This work has been stratified into 5 core pathways, corresponding to levels of increasing support and complexity:

The work has been broken into 5 pathways:

1. Health and Wellbeing – i.e. preventative level services

2. Access and Assessment – including brokerage

3. Short Term Care and Support – e.g. Reablement, 24-hour support

4. Long Term Care and Support – e.g. Day Care, Care at Home, Equipment

5. Complex Care – Accommodation Based – i.e. acute, HBCCC, residential and nursing homes

To begin to explore the opportunities both for older people and for organisations, this event on 20th November will allow a first opportunity to discuss and input into the programme.

The Studio is accessible via a ramp into the building then a lift down to the level below.
