We are bringing together our regional school partners for a development forum to look at strategic collaboration linked specifically to local and national policy perspectives.

The event will provide a platform for yourself and representatives from our other school-based partners from across the network to develop local solutions to current policy directives.

Our first regional event, supporting the North West, takes place in Manchester on Thursday 21st November at the Village Hotel Warrington.

Building on the knowledge and outcomes of previous events and our experience as a leading provider of Leadership NPQs, this half-day event will include examples of practice-based solutions to what strategic partnership can look like from a prospective Teaching School Hub’s work, and from the Archdiocese of Liverpool, who have implemented a highly effective regional partnership model.

During the session we will:

• Hear from local practitioners about how they are collaborating to deliver CPD linked to school improvement priorities
• Discuss changes to the schools landscape, including Specialist NPQs, Teaching School Hubs and the Early Career Framework

Session 1

Setting the context for a collaborative CPD strategy - Yvonne Gandy and Andy Hodgkinson

This session will provide a theoretical context drawing on the material from our NPQEL content and linking specifically to current local and national policy perspectives, and making strategic connections between OLP partner hubs/ teaching school hubs

Strategic implications I

A facilitated session for attendees that work in area-based collaborative groups to develop local solution strategies, supported by OLP to current national policy directives.

Session 3

The role of NPQs in delivering system improvement, a partnership model - Klare Rufo, Primary Trust Advisor, The Archdiocese of Liverpool Primary School Improvement Trust

Drawing on the work of Liverpool Arch Diocese, who are one of our partner hubs, this session will focus on providing an example of practice-based solutions to what strategic partnership can look like.

Session 4

Implementing the DfE hub model - Andy Moor, Director of Ignite TSA

A follow on from Session 1 with a focus on the work of one of our Teaching Hub applicants.

Strategic implications II

A facilitated session for attendees that work in area-based collaborative groups to develop local solution strategies, supported by OLP to current national policy directives.

Venue

Warrington is the heart of North West England, with Manchester and Liverpool both within easy reach. The venue is located a short walk from Warrington Bank Quay train station, and the M6, M62, and M56 are also within easy reach. Free parking is available on-site.
