This is a focussed program for a small group of executives of leading global corporates that are looking to drive strategic innovation. The program is to understand the strategic objectives and process of innovation and corporate venturing. To become truly strategic by connecting technology, start-ups and corporates globally to develop ‘Innovative New Value Chains’.

Ulrich Quay, BMW i Ventures

Ulrich is based in California and Managing Partner of BMW's Venture EUR 500m fund focusing on autonomous vehicles, digital car, automotive cloud, artificial intelligence, cyber security, e-mobility, shared and on-demand mobility, Industry 4.0, customer digital life and energy services. As well as explaining the fund Ulrich will outline the approach to being a separate LP fund and connection to the core BNW business.

Gerald Brady, Silicon Valley Bank

Gerald is the managing director for Silicon Valley Bank leading the firm's SVB Network, which focuses on building the bank's relationships with Fortune 500 CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, CMOs and other C-level executives. SVB Network brings senior executives together to connect with the bank's clients, who are the entrepreneurs at the forefront of technology innovation, spanning every industry sector, as well as the venture capital investors backing these companies. Through a variety of events and programs, executives, entrepreneurs and investors can compare notes on sectors, share insights on technologies and trends, including SVB's own strategic insights, connect with their peers and together explore ways to collaborate more efficiently.

Brady holds an honors degree from Kingston University, an MBA from Cranfield University and he is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Brady served as chairman of the NVCA’s Corporate Venture Group from 2006-2007.

Andrew Gaule, Aimava

Andrew Gaule is an expert in the world of strategic innovation and corporate venturing. As the CEO of Aimava, he has helped global organizations drive innovative and strategic change. He has been leading Strategic Innovation and Corporate Venturing programs for corporates in the United States, Europe, Russia and Asia. Andrew is also an angel investor and shares his passion for innovation and entrepreneurship with young people in his UpStarts4StartUps program. He is the author of Purpose to Performance; Innovative New Value Chains and of the book Open Innovation in Action. He’s a husband and a proud father of two daughters.

Andrew has an MBA from Henley Business School, is a qualified CIMA management accountant and has a degree in Economics from University of Cambridge.
