Guest Speaker: Brendan Paddison, York St John University

Professor Brendan Paddison is Dean of York Business School and Professor of Tourism Geographies at York St John University. As Dean, Brendan is responsible for the strategic leadership of York Business School. The School has a population of over 3,000 students and 150 academic staff, and brings together a wide range of disciplines, including Business and Management, Law, Computing, Data Science and Police Studies. York Business School delivers high-quality education, degree apprenticeships, applied research, and knowledge exchange through strong partnerships across the region and beyond. As Professor of Tourism Geographies, Brendan has an international reputation as a leading expert in tourism and sustainable destination development. Brendan has presented on these topics nationally and internationally and has published extensively in this area. Brendan is Chair of the York Tourism Advisory Board, co-chair of the Tourism Education Futures Initiative (TEFI), and Editor in Chief for the Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism Education.
