CLOSING REFLECTIONS

About this event

Hey there, Sisters! Join us for an empowering online event where we discuss strategies for dealing with situations when HR processes feel long, unclear, or a bit nerve racking. This circle is a safe space for sharing experiences, gaining support, and learning how to navigate challenging workplace dynamics.

Designed for working women across sectors - from seasoned professionals to early careers to recent graduates stepping into corporate life. It is always good to get ahead of this vital component of companies that you will likely be liaising with. This session goes beyond stories: you'll leave with REAL, ACTIONABLE STRATEGIES. Plus, we’ll be joined by a guest speaker with OVER 25 years of SENIOR HR EXPERIENCE at some of your favourite prestigious corporations.

THIS SESSION IS FOR WHEN:

  • You're afraid to report something you probably should
  • You’ve received a promise of action, but haven’t yet seen meaningful change - and it’s hard to know your next step.
  • You've shared openly, but now worry that honesty may have backfired
  • You are exploring reasonable adjustments and what that looks like for you
  • You made a complaint, but now it feels too late (and too risky) to backtrack
  • You have been invited to an informal conversation like mediation
  • Your colleagues are making you feel uncomfortable and you are unsure about what to do
  • You're managing isolation, retaliation, or quiet exclusion with no real support

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • A grounding story that names what it feels like when support systems quietly fail you and when they work incredibly well.
  • An experienced guest speaker with over 25 YEARS IN SENIOR HR ROLES shares practical insights on how to navigate HR with confidence - especially as a woman, and as a woman of colour. Expect guidance on how to prepare for meetings and use the right language to advocate for your needs.
  • Three real-world workplace scenarios (Lauren, Jackie, Danielle) that mirrors workplace exclusion, systematic bureaucracy, colleague retaliation, and/or gaslighting.
  • A collective insight session where you’re invited (not pressured) to share thoughts, questions, or strategies
  • We close with clear, strategic tactics for navigating work environments where visibility doesn’t always lead to support or protection. You’ll leave with quiet, clever ways to document, reposition, and defend your value. Always be 10 steps ahead throughout your career. You deserve to be in these spaces.

At this Strategy Circle during our Strategy Teach we'll explore what happens next when:

  • Your claim has been "unsubstantiated": (something women - especially women of colour - hear far too often)
