About this event

Community • Heritage

As part of the Doors Open Days Festival celebrating 850 years of Glasgow heritage, join us for a walk to explore the historic village of Strathbungo, largely vanished, before walking through the Victorian suburb. Learn about the area's buildings, its builders and architects, and some of its early residents. The walk is approximately 1.6-2.2 km / 1-1.4 mi, starting at The Cooperage. We will walk to the crossroads at Allison Street, up Nithsdale Street, into Moray Place, and then up and down the streets (and maybe lanes) of Strathbungo before ending at Titwood Road or returning to The Cooperage, if required. [aged 16+].
