Strathmartine LCPP Cafe Conversation
Overview
Strathmartine LCPP Cafe Conversation
Overview
Cafe Conversation that will help shape the local community planning for the Strathmartine Ward.
We have been holding Café Conversations regularly to provide an informal opportunity for community members, practitioners, and strategic leaders to get together to talk about what is working well in the community, consider what isn’t and work out ways together to improve things for everyone. We ask both community members and practitioners to bring real experiences to talk about. We spend time listening to each other, identifying the issues that need to be addressed and coming up with ways forward.
We are finding the conversations provide a great opportunity for people to get to know one another and really understand how they can support each other. As a result, housing officers have changed their way of working in communities and there are lots more activities going on for children and young people in the area.
The WM2U Oversight and Enabling Board has endorsed the café conversation model and asked that what comes up in them feeds into local community planning processes.
In this conversation we will be focusing on looking at what is needed to make our community even better through the three key areas of our Strathmartine Community Plan:
- People
- Place
- Protection
The Café Conversation format will ensure that all voices are heard and that we identify actions to address the issues that come up.
