Description

For the out-and-backers, the trail seekers, and the early risers— it’s time to lace up your running shoes and kick off the year with a new goal in mind.

We’ve partnered with Strava to bring back our 40|80 run challenge this January. Our global collective (including you!) can choose to run either a 40k or 80k distance (tracking mileage with the Strava App) between Wednesday Jan 2 - Tuesday Jan 15 2019.

All runners who hit the pavement between Wed Jan 2 to Tues Jan 15 and run either 40km or 80km using their Strava app, will receive a promotion via email by Sat Jan 19, which can be redeemed in-store or online at lululemon until Sun Feb 3.

Your goals are waiting.

Already have a dedicated GPS device?
Visit Strava.com to find out how to upload to Strava from yours.

Set up your device for success:
• Record a test activity and get familiar with the recording and upload process (recording guides for iOS and Android).
• Give your phone (or other GPS devices) time to acquire a solid GPS connection.
• Close other apps before using Strava.
• To ensure you meet the Challenge goal, we recommend you run a small amount over the required distance (about .5km). GPS isn’t perfect so this will help accommodate data inaccuracies.

Having trouble uploading?
Visit Strava.com for some helpful tips to help troubleshoot for iOS and Android.

Opting Into Strava Emails
1. Open stava.com on your desktop
2. Navigate to settings via your profile
3. Open email notifications
4. At the bottom of the page, turn the email newsletter setting to ‘On’
5. Strava emails are now enabled.

Burning questions? We’ve got answers.

Does my pace or the number of runs I complete matter?
No. This is purely a distance race - you can record your runs for as long or as many times between the two-week challenge period of Jan 2 - Jan 15, as long as you complete 40 KM or 80 KM (25-50 miles). Ensure all runs uploaded are visible to “everyone” in order to qualify.

When can I join / complete the race?
You can join the Strava challenge anytime between Dec 21st at 12:00 AM until Jan 15th at 11:59 PM in your local time zone. However, the challenge will only count the runs that you record from Jan 2 at 12:00 AM to Jan 15 at 11:59 PM (in your local timezone). If someone doesn’t sign up for the challenge until closer to the end but have ran either 40km or 80km between Jan 2 to Jan 15 and those activities were uploaded to be visible to “everyone”, they will still count towards completing the challenge.

Is there any cost associated with using Strava?
No. Strava is free of charge.

What will I get for completing the challenge?
Guests who complete the challenge will receive a special promo code to be used in-store and online in all participating regions (in-store only in Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East), and a badge for your Strava page depending on what distance you complete. If you complete both distances you will receive both badges on Strava, but only one promo code.

Where do these badges live?
Runners completing 40km will have a digital badge show up in their feed within the Strava app. Runners completing 80km will have the digital badge live in runner’s digital trophy case within the Strava app.

What if I run less than 40 KM?
Anyone who run less than 40 KM (25 miles) will not be eligible for the reward.

I received an email from Strava that linked me to a page offering me a promo code. Is this real?
Yes, it is, and you are receiving this email because you have opted into and completed 40 KM or 80 KM (25- 50 miles) of running on Strava between Jan 2 and Jan 15. This is a congratulatory email containing the reward details and how to redeem the reward.

When will I receive my reward?
All rewards will be delivered directly by email from Strava by Saturday, January 19 to everyone who completes the challenge.

What can I redeem with my reward?
Please see rewards page for details and exclusions in the terms and conditions (sent by January 19)
