Description

Stray Over is a brand new fundraising event for corporate teams to support the work of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. The event is open to all business sectors and will challenge teams to give up their warm beds and home comforts to spend a chilly spring night sleeping under the stars at Battersea’s iconic centre.

The event will take place on the evening of Friday 27th April 2018 where you will experience a unique evening behind the scenes at Battersea. The evening will consist of fun team challenges, a twilight tour of the Home and the chance to learn more about the charity, our work and to experience a window into the journey of a stray animal.

Each team will need to fundraise £2,500 to take part in the event either through fundraising activity, company sponsorship or match funding.

Why should you Stray Over?

In 2016, 26% of dogs and cats arriving at Battersea’s centres were strays, equating to over 2000 animals. For those abandoned onto the streets, they have nowhere to turn and are left to an uncertain future subject to starvation, injury or death alone and unloved.

Battersea’s open intake policy means that we will never turn away a dog or cat in need whatever their age, breed or medical condition. Our three centres are open 365 days a year so there is never an excuse to abandon an animal onto the streets.

For those animals who arrive at Battersea there is hope that through the expertise and dedication of our staff and veterinary team, they can be nursed back to health and new loving homes found for them, however long it takes.

By taking part in Stray Over you will not only help to raise much needed funds so that we can continue our vital work but you will also stand beside us in speaking up for animals. You will help be their voice and champion, when no one else will.
