Street Photography Walk in London with Lara Platman

Get to know your camera while taking photos on a walk through London. Suitable for beginners or as a refresher.
This day workshop (limited to 6 people only), will help you take the perfect photograph of architecture and a variety of scenes throughout the London with award winning photographer and Leica Ambassador Lara Platman. Walk approximately 2 miles in distance.
You will learn to effectively utilise the different settings on your camera so that you can create stunning architectural photographs and scenes 'shot from the hip'. You will be taught how to utilise light and composition, learn the rule of thirds and perfect angles. By following simple photographic rules it will make your photography fun and exciting. Once you have gained these skills and knowledge, with award winning photographer Lara Platman, you will be able to continue to develop your photographical skills on your own!
Throughout the day Lara will guide you through a series of photographic briefs to help you advance your skills, from reflections and shapes to panoramic and detail. Lara will encourage you to capture images from many unusual angles in order to create a unique portfolio of photographs.
The day begins at 09.30am the Royal Society of Arts, where tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided on arrival. Lara will introduce her photographic portfolio and discuss any initial questions you may have with your cameras.
At 10.30am the Photographic Walk will begin from Royal Society of Arts, John Adam Street to the Leica cafe in Bruton Place, Mayfair. The walk is approximately 2 miles in distance.
Please note lunch is not provided, however there are many places to eat along the walk. You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch. Complementary tea and coffee will be served at the end of the walk at 3.30pm in the Leica Cafe Bruton Place, where we will discuss the Photo Walk.
What to bring with you:
- Digital Camera with a fully charged battery
- Empty memory card
- Warm & waterproof clothes
- Good walking shoes for a the city
- Packed lunch (although there are many places to purchase lunch on route)
