Earlier this summer, Little Green Pig presented Street Stories, an innovative audio tour as part of Brighton Fringe. Audiences called it "Outstanding, surreal, eye-opening... moving and thought provoking... powerful and intense".
Street Stories was a project developed over three months in collaboration with Brighton Housing Trust. Young writers aged 9-11 from LGP's Thursday Club worked with former homeless people to learn about the reality of the life on the streets. Sound artist Tristan Shorr came on board, along with three professional actors, who brought the children's narratives to life, interspersing fictional tales with snippets from real conversations. The result is a magical, immersive, layered journey through Brighton; you'll never look at the city the same way again.
Little Green Pig are bringing Street Stories back for one more tour, thanks to a grant from Brighton Digital Festival.
