StreetDoctors Workshops - Borough of Tower Hamlets
Empowering young people affected by violence to keep themselves and others safe
About this event
Led by Swan Housing, One Housing, Clarion Housing and Tower Hamlets Homes are working collectively, to make a real difference in young people’s lives.
Violence is a major cause of death, life-changing injuries and long-term conditions, for many young people. Report carried out by ONS in 2020, shows there were 46,000 knife or sharp instrument offences in the UK, with knife crime rising by 6% from the previous year. Every time a young person is affected by violent crime, it is utterly heart-breaking and leaves families and communities devastated.
We have commissioned a fantastic charity, StreetDoctors, to host workshop this summer, within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. These sessions aim to place young people (aged 14+) at the centre of emergency first-aid provision and empower them to become part of the solution to violence.
