Streets Talks is back for 2017 starting with London’s Deputy Mayor for Transport, Valerie Shawcross CBE, and an introduction to the Mayor’s newly appointed Walking and Cycling Commissioner, Dr Will Norman.
The new Mayor has made it clear that they will be pursuing a ‘Healthy Streets approach’ to London, making cycling and walking much safer and more attractive. But what does this actually mean in practice?
This event will be a first chance to hear about the Mayor’s forthcoming Vision for Healthy Streets in London, presented directly by the Deputy Mayor herself, followed by a Q+A with the audience.
Deputy Mayor for Transport, Valerie Shawcross CBE (pictured), will outline the new 'Healthy Streets' approach and what this means for walking and cycling in the capital.
The event is open to anyone with an interest in the way people move around London and use its streets and public spaces, but space is strictly limited.
Kindly hosted by Look Mum No Hands in Old Street, refreshments will be available at the bar.
Register for the event here, but please be aware there is a strict capacity and we will have to operate first-come first-serve entry and seating on the evening.
We look forward to seeing you there.
